Heading up to Pedley Pass some sections are steep, but when you reach the alpine ridges you can wander around to your hearts delight. You can see the Stanford Range in the Rockies and the Kootenay River Valley.

On the way the trail takes you through a section called ?bumpy meadows?. This is appropriately named as there are hundreds of these ?bumps? which are caused by frost heaves.
